General Questions
Where is BOVTECK located, and are you a factory or a trading company?
BOVTECK is a manufacturer, not a trading company. Our production facility is located in Huizhou High-tech Industrial Park, Guangdong, China. Core components such as valves, actuators, and aluminum cans are produced in-house.
How long has BOVTECK been in business?
We have over 10 years of experience in aerosol packaging manufacturing, and have been exporting to international markets for more than 5 years, currently serving partners in 50+ countries.
Can we visit your factory in person or arrange a video call?
Yes. We welcome in-person factory visits, and we also regularly arrange live video calls for international clients who cannot travel. Just contact our sales team to schedule a time.
Products & Customization
Do you only supply valves, or can you provide a complete packaging set?
We can supply individual components (valve only, can only, etc.) or a fully matched set — valve, actuator/spray head, cap, and aluminum can — so everything fits together correctly from the start.
Can you develop a completely custom, non-standard valve for our product?
Yes, custom development is one of our core strengths. Our in-house R&D and tooling team can develop non-standard bore sizes, actuator designs, and dosage specifications. We'll first review technical feasibility, then quote tooling cost and lead time before you commit.
We currently use an imported valve and want a more affordable alternative — can you replicate it?
Yes. We can benchmark against your current imported component (matching spray pattern, dosage, and sealing performance) and develop a comparable domestically-made alternative, often at a significantly lower cost.
What materials do your valves, caps, and gaskets use?
Plastic components are typically made from PP, PE, POM, PBT or ABS depending on the application. Metal components use tinplate, aluminum, or stainless spring steel. Gaskets can be EPDM rubber, PE, silicone, or nitrile rubber — material choice depends on the chemical compatibility required by your formula.
Can you print or add branding to the aluminum can or plastic components?
Yes, surface printing and labeling is available for aluminum cans and select plastic components. Let us know your artwork requirements and we'll confirm feasibility for your specific product.
Samples
Can we get free samples before placing an order?
For standard, off-the-shelf products, we can usually provide free samples (you cover the courier cost). For custom-developed products requiring new tooling, a sample fee applies, which is typically deductible from your first mass production order.
How long does it take to receive samples?
Standard product samples are usually ready within 3–7 days. Custom samples requiring new tooling typically take 15–25 days, depending on design complexity.
Can you send a sample kit with multiple valve/pump types to help us choose?
Yes. This is especially common for startup and first-time buyers. We can put together a small sample kit covering a few relevant valve or pump options so you can test compatibility with your formula before committing to one.
MOQ & Ordering
What is your minimum order quantity (MOQ)?
MOQ varies by product type. Standard off-the-shelf valves and pumps typically have a lower MOQ, while custom-developed products with new tooling generally require a higher MOQ to offset tooling investment. Contact us with your specific product for an exact MOQ.
We're a small startup brand — will you still take our order seriously?
Yes. We regularly work with startup and small-volume brands. While MOQ requirements still apply, our quality standard does not change based on order size — your first order gets the same quality control as our largest clients.
What is your typical production lead time?
Standard products typically ship within 20–30 days after deposit and sample confirmation. Custom products requiring new tooling may take 35–45 days total, including tooling development time. Exact lead time is confirmed at the time of quotation.
Pricing & Payment
What payment terms do you accept?
We typically work with a deposit (commonly 30%) before production begins, with the balance paid before shipment or against shipping documents. We accept T/T bank transfer; other terms can be discussed for established accounts.
Do your quotes include freight, or are they factory price only (FOB)?
By default, our quotations are FOB (factory price plus export packing and documentation). We can also provide CIF or DDP pricing upon request — just let us know your preferred Incoterm and destination port when requesting a quote.
Does the quoted price include tooling cost for custom products?
No — tooling cost for custom development is quoted separately from the per-unit product price. In many cases, tooling cost can be partially or fully offset against your first production order, depending on order volume. This will be clearly stated in your quotation.
Shipping & Logistics
Which ports do you usually ship from?
We typically ship via Shenzhen or Guangzhou port, both of which are close to our factory in Huizhou, Guangdong. We can also coordinate with your preferred freight forwarder if you have one.
Can you help arrange shipping if we don't have our own freight forwarder?
Yes, we can recommend and coordinate with freight forwarders we regularly work with, handling export documentation and customs paperwork on our end.
How are the goods packed for export?
Products are packed according to export standards — typically inner poly bags, carton boxes, and palletized for container loading, with carton markings and labeling as required. Custom packaging requirements can be discussed based on your order.
Quality & Certifications
What certifications does BOVTECK hold?
We hold ISO 9001 (Quality Management) and ISO 14001 (Environmental Management) certifications, along with REACH and RoHS compliance documentation, and third-party test reports from SGS. Full details are available on our Certifications page.
Do you perform 100% inspection, or only sample-based checks?
Every valve undergoes 100% leak testing and spray performance verification before packing. In addition, we perform incoming material inspection, in-process inspection, and a final pre-shipment random sampling inspection (AQL standard).
Can we arrange a third-party inspection (e.g. SGS, Bureau Veritas) before shipment?
Yes, we're happy to support third-party pre-shipment inspections arranged by you. Just let us know the inspection agency and we'll coordinate factory access and timing accordingly.
After-Sales & Support
What happens if we receive a batch with quality issues?
Please contact our team immediately with photos/videos and batch details. We investigate the root cause and offer a resolution — which may include replacement, credit on your next order, or a corrective action plan, depending on the nature of the issue.
Do you provide technical support after the order ships (e.g. filling line compatibility issues)?
Yes. Our technical team can assist remotely with filling line compatibility issues, such as seal-depth/crimping adjustments, and can provide additional technical documentation or measurement tools if needed.
Can we request design changes or improvements on a repeat order?
Yes, repeat orders are a great opportunity to fine-tune specifications based on real-world feedback from your filling line or end customers. Let your account contact know what you'd like adjusted, and we'll advise if it requires new tooling or can be done with existing molds.
